    Code of conduct

    Working remotely is different from working in the office. To make the teamwork possible, we urge everyone to follow these principles:

    • Be flexible. Adjust to new rules quickly, learn new things and offer ideas for improvement;
    • Ask your seniors for advice or approval if you have doubts about any aspect of your work. It’s always better to clarify and do something properly than mess up and apologize later;
    • Make sure you understand your assignments. Don’t hesitate to ask even the most trivial questions, if it helps you to do your job better;
    • Don’t follow instructions blindly. If you see that your actions may be counterproductive, contact your seniors and make sure everything is okay. This especially applies to writing new articles! If it’s impossible find reliable information to write a decent article, notify the Content Strategist or the Managing Editor! Don’t write trash simply because you have a task!
    • Be polite and cooperative. Treat other Team Members the same way you want them to treat you!
    • Don’t disappear. Warn your Project Manager if you have any urgent issues, e.g. if you’re going to be absent for some time due to personal issues or if you decide to stop writing for our company;
    • It’s okay if you make a mistake once.  You will get  instructions and explanations on how to avoid this mistake in the future. But don’t make it a habit! Making same mistakes over and over again means you don’t learn;
    • Similarly, you should not allow yourself making too many mistakes frequently. We don’t work with inattentive people who know only how to invent excuses;
    • Be communicative and always seek to discuss work-related matters instead of being isolated from the team. Respond to messages sent by other team members within 24 hours;
    • Always react to all announcements sent via any channels (Slack, Trello, Emails etc) with an emoji or a written text. You must acknowledge your understanding! If you don’t do this, it means you don’t agree with the announcement;
